We make inquiries in order to stimulate the search for solutions
It is often thought that the moderator’s role is to stay out of controversies while keeping the discussion going. We do not do this.
Some want the participants to be told where solutions should lead. We do not do this either.
We lead discourses toward critical points; those which haven’t sufficiently been thought about, but which need to be addressed if problems are to be defined. We shed light onto vague thoughts. In this way, we encourage insights to possibilities for solutions.
We are involved through the questioning process, without proposing solutions ourselves. This is how our moderators encourage the participants to find their own solutions. We see this as our intellectual duty: we are moderators and consultants in one.
